So, what is there to say about me? Eh, not much interesting. Anyway my name is Mandie, and, I’m 20 years old. I’m a college sophomore in Minnesota at a really neat little school in the middle of the prairie. I’m majoring in biology and chemistry because I love science, and I find it difficult to understand how anyone could possibly want to major in anything else, such as humanities (kidding, mostly). I’m very close to family: parents, baby brother, roomies, etc. (I guess I talk about them a lot.) Apparently I also tell really terrible stories, which generally are not at all linear or coherent and end up nowhere, to which the typical (heartbreaking) response is “And then I found ten dollars…”
Furthermore, I live for innuendo. I especially like “that’s what she said” jokes (who doesn’t!), so don’t be shocked if you hear ridiculously obnoxious/explicit things come out of my mouth (i.e. yes, I really did say that), or if I laugh out loud at something clearly not sexual in any way because I’ve somehow managed to turn it about in my head to make it sexual. I’m also told that a lack a brain-to-mouth filter. (Just throwing that out there as advanced notice.) I do not have that many boundaries, which is to say, I’m not particularly shy, at least about things most people don’t seem to bring up in polite conversation . . . ? I don’t do it on purpose, or to be rude; it just kind of seems to happen. Consequently I spend much of the time with my foot in my mouth, or I would if I got embarrassed more easily.
Let’s see, what else? I’m a huge nerd. I read a lot, I’m an atheist, I’m vegan, I’m clumsy and bruise easily. I was a figure skater for about ten years, starting in first grade, which is funny in retrospect, given my extreme lack of coordination.
